The world Travel Awards (WTA) 2024 ceremony was held in Madeira, Portugal. The awards recognise and reward excellence in the tourism industry, including destinations, hotels, airlines and other travel related organisations. Often referred to as the “Oscar of the travel industry,” the awards are determined by votes from industry experts and global traveles.
At the 31st edition of the World Travel Awards, Maldives was awarded “World’s Leading Destination.”
Qatar Airways won “World’s Best Airline Website,” while Booking.com was named “Best Travel Booking App.” Dubai International Airport was voted “ World’s Leading Airport,” and Saint Lucia was awarded “Leading Honeymoon Destination.
Air Asia want to awards, “World’s Leading Low-cost Airline “ and “World’s Leading Low-cost Airline Cabin Crew.” Graham Cooke, Founder of World Travel Awards, said “ It is an honor to welcome our winners and celebrate with them in Madeira. This incredible evening will be remembered by all. Our winners represent the pinnacle of travel excellence, and I congratulate each of them for raising the standards of the global tourism economy.
